As of June 3, I have my new battery and my car back. Here is the battery coming off the truck at the service department.
5605

They say the hardest part was moving the thing. Once mounted, they basically plugged it in and hooked up the coolant system.
I’m happy and relieved this is all over!

My car stopped working in late February after having fully charged it the night before. It detected a fault or short in the battery so it would not allow the car to operate. So unlike those who have had the minor inconvenience of not fully charging up, my car actually sustained damage to the battery And needed it replaced. It took over three months for the battery to arrive.
Now everything is working well. I’m happy with the car still and happy with my local service department. I am not confident in Hyundai or it’s customer service should anything happen in the future. They completely abdicated their responsibility to provide support when I needed it.
Still, happy it’s over and hope to keep it for many years.
