Please refer to point 4. in my post:
"...you won't be able to replace the dust covers as there is not enough space to fit both the old lamp holder and the new LED plug under the dust cover. You have a choice. Either don't replace the dust covers (not recommended, especially if you drive on unsealed roads) or visit your nearest friendly auto electrician. My electrician cut off the old lamp holder and replaced with two female spade connectors. "

Thought I should let you know that I figured it out. You have to remove a tire sidewall panel to get easier access to the socket. With that panel gone, you can maneuver everything to fit with the dust cover. The panel is held together by plastic clips so you would need to push it from inside of the hood but careful where you dont break any of the pieces.

I have a 2019 Kona Limited. The LED headlights are so bright that I experience road rage every night after dark. Oncoming drivers are flashing their lights and blasting their horns at me. Anyone else have this experience?

Some where else I read said one turn made negligible difference and it needed about 4 turns to see a difference.
I haven't done mine yet but I will in the next couple of nights.
The Kona halogen lights are crap so I've put in the Philips Xtreme vision +130% which gives much better light and distance but I'll lower them just a bit to get extra brightness on the road.

If you got the HLXG H7 from Alibaba, did you get the ones that said for KIA/HYUNDAI? The ones you have pictured on your other post are NOT for the Hyundai. They're H7 but for other H7 cars that don't require the SPECIAL ADAPTER like the HYUNDAI KONA does.

You will need to send them back & get the ones for KIA/HYUNDAI. Or reorder them but make sure you get the ones that says for KIA/HYUNDAI. And then look for the oem like special adapter. See my first posts here where I gave a link for the Lasfit ones, & Alibaba ones.

There is another company on Ebay that sells an exact look-a-like set for 20+ dollars. But you will need to get the extra error cancellors as well. Which you can get anywhere in Ebay. Just type in H7 LED CANBUS DECODER & go from there.

Now the company on Ebay is called: BEVINSEE. Just type in the search box on Ebay " Bevinsee H7 LED for HYUNDAI KONA " & they should pop up. They're from china, so they should ship to you.

I replied to another post you made.

Whether the mechanic does the high or low beams with the Lasfit LED's . They will be able to tuck the wiring back into the housing & put the dust cover back on with NO MODS of any kind needed.

The mechanic at my Hyundai Dealer took out the old Halogen Bulb from the OEM socket, then plugged the Lasfit LED into it, then tucked the wiring back into the housing, then installed the bulb, then put the dust cover back on & NO MODS of any kind were done.

Hope this helps ease your mind a bit. 😁

Hi,

Thanks a lot for the update. That relives me. I spoke with the hyundai service centre and unfortunately they said they won't recommend led and don't install it even if I paid it. I spoke to another auto electrician and he would do it. Ordered the adapter to hold the led and see how it works out. I will keep you posted. Thanks again.

Lasfit alternatives.
Hey everyone, Since some of you know. Lasfit does not ship outside of the USA. I found, thanks to trial and error, of my local auto specialists, a bulb that will work. I put these in for my high beams. YES they fit, no rewiring, no aftermarket dust cover needed.
they are not the cheapest, but after exchange, and shipping duties through a third party, it was only a difference of $50. Worth it! Yes they need the adapter rings.But they went in easy, 10 min/per side.
A good choice for Canadian Kona owners \

I have a 2019 Kona Limited with the LED headlights which has (I think) only one bulb for both high and low beams. I want to upgrade to brighter LEDs but can't seem to find any. Does anyone know of some place to get brighter LED bulbs that are both high and low beams?

Sorry but you can't, the oem headlights do not use a replaceable bulb.

Have you tried adjusting them?
If you do be careful if you adjust them to high you'll be blinding the oncoming drivers.
