Upselling extended warranties on new EVs

Did your Hyundai dealer try to sell you an expensive extended warranty? These warranties supposedly cover what the manufacturer doesn't, and they try to scare you by telling you how "complicated" an ev is and why you need extra protection. Both GM and Hyundai tried to upsell an extended warranty to us when buyng a new car. So the dealer tells us they have a great warranty, but please buy another one, too. We said no.
Did anyone else have this experience?

I have been offered extended warranties covering various parts of the car (interior, paint, engine, maintenance, etc.) on virtually every car I have ever bought. Have never seen the need to purchase any of them, especially with today's manufacturer's basis warranties that cover much longer time periods. It's just part of the automobile industry's sales procedures. They are pretty much pure profit for the dealer, so if they can get even a few people to go for them, it is money in the bank for them.
