The US Limited I have has a beautiful steering wheel feel. High quality. Different models and trim for different markets.
The U.S. market generally gets better trims for almost all cars – both in performance and looks. No idea why they sell such watered-down versions in Europe.

5. It seems to turn off almost completely the steering assist you have to press that button for quite a long time... then the lane symbol goes orange.

10. my fuel consumption still hasn't changed but still didn't get a chance to test it in the city

11. I also bought a phone holder that fits in the cup holder... it looks a bit strange but the phone screen is easy to see and access

12. I also didn't like at all how the steering wheel felt in the hands - but this fake leather cover you see in the photo above does the job well and it was just 5 euros in Action. Really has that nice feel to it that makes you want to touch it compared to that plastic bag feeling of the original. Not sure how to explain it better.

PS: overall I like the car - i'd give it a 7.5/10.
12. I actually really like the steering wheel on my N-Line here in Sweden. It feels smooth and high-quality to me.

I am really curious now if it's different by country. But basically mine feels like touching a plastic water bottle not a person's skin. I enjoy the 2nd feeling more. Mazda also has the same water bottle feel. Ford has human skin feel. Mercedes in between. I mean the cars I've tried.

13. Another question - is it normal that my battery is never charged more than let's say 65%? i have even chosen in the menu maximize EV driving, but i don't really notice a change.

Usually my battery is around 50% charged. But never 75% or more.
I have the same question and keep forgetting to ask when I go to my dealership.
I thought I read somewhere that it's from 20% to 80%, but mine goes from +/- 40 <-> 60%.

As I mentioned above, my car used more fuel the first few thousand km, but that was more between 5,5 & 6 liter.
I have to add that I do make it a sport to use as little as possible. If I'm in no hurry, my highway speed is 90-100kmph and that results in 4,5 to 5l/100km

Are these long trips? On highways I have to drive +30km before I get near 5l/100km

I would have liked the 1.6T... but, EU regulations.....
But, I'm really glad the EU version doesn't have the spoiler(s) 😀

It depends on your driving style and other factors. Mine usually stays between 40 and 60 most of the time, sometimes charging up to 80. I don’t think it has ever dropped below 30, but I did see it go above 90 once. This is mostly to preserve battery life.

Once I was going downhill in the mountains, mostley braking on max regen. All of a sudden my car shot forward. Regen had stopped because the battery was at full capacity.
I didn't look at my instrument cluster to seen how much of the battery was used as it was too dangerous to keep my eyes of the road.
But, in the 14 months I have my car I have never seen it higher than around 60%

14. THE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING -

Yesterday I drove the car for aroud 350 km nonstop to get home from a business trip.
Parked it overnight.

This morning I could barely open the doors after many tries.

DEAD 12V BATTERY ON A CAR WITH AROUND 9000 KM ON IT.

Brilliant! Thank God this is a company car and not my own car. I am getting really sick and tired of it!

15. The range calculator is NOT reliable at all

- for ex during these business trips I have to buy fuel at certain gas stations in certain countries because those are free and rest are paid

- so I start driving and my range shows let's say 320 km and my fuel stop is in 290 km... Well with this wonderful car it's not guaranteed I will make it. Even if it's just highway driving - so nothing fancy to calculate. not to mention i do the same route over and over again.

- and don't tell me that all cars are not super accurate - i know that - but between dacia, mercedes, ford, seat, mazda... this hyundai is the worst at estimating the range... at least in my experience.

16. my fuel consumption is still not impressive - 5.8 l/100km. If I try I can get the same with my personal traditional, only-aspirated 2L mazda engine. Without turbo, without batteries.

17. PS: Interesting story which might really be a feature... but now I wonder if it's not a feature and actually related to the dead battery story.

My partner was waiting for me in the car. Windows were open a bit. Car turned off. Doors locked by me by pressing button from the outside door handle.

All of a sudden the fan turned on inside the car - the fan for air conditioning.

I don't know if the car felt she was in the car due to the weight and turned on the fan cause it got too hot... or if this random turning on of the fan is related to my battery being dead this morning.

15. I never trust those, but have to admit that my Opel was more correct.
16. That's still really high. I'm almost always just south of 5l/100km
17. Interesting. Maybe leave your partner in the car overnight to take notes 😁

Software updates have always been a problem in my car. Usually I get the updates weeks after others got them and often something goes wrong (cameras not working, auto tailgate not working etc), but every time it corrects itself with the next start of the car.

However, this time I got software bugs that don't correct themselves. 😒

1. My clock doesn't auto adjust to time zones anymore, which is annoying if you often drive from one zone to the other. (Setting the clock manually is still possible)

2. I can no longer adjust the speed limit settings. This one is reaaaally annoying.
I normally switch this feature off, but I can no longer switch it off. I never drive faster than allowed, the problem however is that the speed limit indicator is wrong 60% of the time. If it sees a sign for a 70km/h limit on the off ramp, it says I'm over the speed limit while I'm on the highway, not the off ramp. A while ago it kept warning me for 40km!!
They introduced a voice command with the last update to turn of the speed limit warning sounds. The car recognises my command, confirms it, but nothing happens.

Hyundai is unable to fix it at the moment. But, they're still looking into it.

This is what happens when I try to change the settings manually.

Saw this in another thread:

  1. Campaign 40F210 MKBD UPGRADE – fixes the multi-keyboard not going into rest mode, which was draining the 12V battery. More info here.

It’s a feature meant to prevent mold from forming in the air ducts. I think it’s even mentioned somewhere in the manual.

15. The remaining kilometers shown are just an estimate, and your actual fuel consumption depends on many factors—weather, wind, load, terrain, etc. It’s normal for the car to recalculate the range based on changing conditions. I don’t see an issue with that. But if you’re planning to refuel with only 30 km left, you’re cutting it way too close. I usually refill when I have at least 80–100 km remaining.

Is your infotainment software up to date? If not, try updating it via USB and see if that fixes it. Sounds like a simple glitch—worth a shot.
