Door won't lock using button on door handle

So this happen once for my wife but I couldn't reproduce it until today where now I can't lock the car pushing the button on the door handle it just gives me a long beep.
I can lock it using the keyfob no problem. I made sure hood, doors and rear hatch was closed. I can unlock the doors using the push button but it won't let me lock the doors. Anyone else seen this?

ok so this is embassing I made an appointment with the dealer to get this looked at. I grab my keyfob and then asked the wife for her keyfob and when she went to look in her purse for her keys there were no keys. I said ha ha sure enough she had left her keys in the Kona and thus why the doors wouldn't lock. Sure enough remove keys from car and everything works again. :rolleyes:
