Kona is not on the hyundai list

 

I checked my VIN (2020 Kona Ultimate) and it is not on the list for phaseout. Also checked the frequencies in my manuals to confirm they are not limited to 3G frequencies..

I am very concerned about the limitation to 2 fobs of my 2020 Kona Ultimate. Having just two keys produces complex logistics, and the key loss is an accident waiting to happen. I would like to explore removing the push button and installing a more old-fashioned keyed ignition. One of the kearlier kona ignition systems could be used. Is this doable? What will happen to various other systems if a mechanic does that?
