update for you guys. I finally got a hold of a place that does custom work and had a long, very educational talk with them. So, the net result of everything I learned, is that Im going to be returning the Flowmaster 40 series. I am going to put in a Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator pretty far up on the exhaust, between the catalytic converter and the stock resonator. I will leave a muffler out of the equation for this round.
can you post a video? so you kept the muffler delete and added the vibrant?

what was it that you learned about the muffler? I assume it would be too close to stock? What was the reasoning for having the resonator so far up?

I stopped by a local shop last week to have a look underneath and get a quote. I wanted a delete, but have a factory matched flange on the straight pipe so I could go axle back from the stock flange. That way everything could at some point in the future be returned to stock (if I sell the car or something). Originally I hoped it was an end entry/exit muffler so a res could be put in it’s place for that still sort of stock visual look. But of course it’s a side entry. Lol. For mild steel it was going to be around $550 CAD. That included a new dual tip but just a straight to the point exit from the flange.
But looking online, I can get AFE’s Takeda Axle back stainless exhaust for under $500 CAD. Downside is it is not tipped and it wasn’t meant for an N line so the exit might not be the right angle for my N Line’s rear bumper to get a tip to fit nicely. The plus side I thought was maybe I could get the resonator to fit mid cross pipe if I wanted to add it in after the delete without a major $500 rework like I would with the exhaust shop route. But you intrigue me with adding the res further up. Still left undecided on the route I want to go.

This is the Takeda kit. With a clamp on tip. And definitely a different bumper exit then mine.

I’m also interested in a sound clip!!! Looks like we are all looking for a bit of performance and a bit off growl minus the fart. I’m listening to see if that mod will do to.

I've got a 2022 Kona with 1.6L, muffler delete with stock intake. I'm planning on the Takeda® 56-70032R - Momentum® Black Cold Air Intake System but haven't gotten that far yet.

I like the sound like 75% of the time. It does however occasionally fart and maybe just a bit to loud (for my tastes), overall.

I'm wondering what muffler choices I have to go somewhere between the factory muffler sound and how I have it now with the muffler delete?

I'm looking at the flowmaster super 10, or super 40... I want to make sure I reduce some of the droning during acceleration but leave the grumbly turbo sound. I just don't want to add an aftermarket muffler and not have change enough. The super 10 is a single chamber... Will that reduce noise (from a muffler delete) or will it be very similar???

Any suggestions? Experience?

Heres a pic of my muffler delete. I have dual resonator tips btw ... View attachment 7072 View attachment 7073
I installed the Super 10 on my Kona SEL 2.0 and I love it....
