I have a history of windshield road chips and w/in three months ended up w/ two dings that were slowly spreading. My dealership gave me the name of auto glass shop that could also handle the calibration of camera etc, but they had to order the part and informed me of a 4 week wait. Once it was finally delivered, the technician had no problems w/ changing out the glass itself, but did struggle w/ the calibration. New model Kona and his computer / tool didn't have the right specs. He had to get help from someone the next day. Luckily, it was all done at my home.
Sure enough, I've already had another couple rock dings, but they have been caught fast enough to save me from replacing again. Between the lack of highway maintenance and abundance of trucks, it's more commonplace than one might expect.
