I am in the UK and I too suffered a crack from a stone chip that ran from the edge to the centre. The main issue for me was going through my Insurance approved UK glass repairer Autoglass. Not wanting to risk points on my licence and a fine my car was off the road for 5 weeks. AG kept saying none in stock but by chance I asked a local repairer and he said pretty much all glass is supplied by Laddaw (AG Sister company) and I see 2 in stock. Went back to insurance company to complain and inform them of the info I knew and suprise a screen in stock but cant fit it for 3 wks. Insurance company gave go ahead because being mucked around and the independant guy fitted a genuine Hyundai screen (From autoglass sister company) within 2 days. It stung initially as it cost £980 inc calibration but got reimbursed minus my excess. However autoglass are a joke making customers wait and lying completely saing no stock when there was as my guy said how long the glass was in stock for and it was before my initial claim call.
