Within 2 months my wife received 2 separate recalls from Kia regarding her 2018 Kia Sportage. One of the recalls was the same issue we had with a 2012 Sorrento, excessive oil consumption, the other was dealing with a possible fire and don’t park in or near A Building.
So now she drives a Lexus NX300t and the Kia is history.
I have no issues with the Kona or recalls.. After driving the Lexus, I like my Kona even MORE.. The “little” Lexus suv weighs 3985 lbs. it’s a overweight sofa on wheels.. We also have the same shoulder width without the added length.
Many things to appreciate about the Kona, especially Value wise.
I hope Hyunda/Kia get their act together soon.. before They damage their improving quality reputation..

It's all relative.

the one thing I really like about the Toyota setup is the Port injection in addition to the direct injection.. Should eliminate long term carbon buildup issues.. Will see if the Kona is adversely affected in time..

We'll see how that setup works in the long run. It seems better than DI only.

If I do get another car. It will be EV.

Same here.. I’m waiting for that $20-25k Tesla hatchback they keep promising.
