We bought a new 2020 Kona Limited AWD and love it so far. Only one issue - The No Spare Tire Factor.

Call me old school, but I like a spare in the trunk for road trips and care way less about mpg than safety.

The dealer wants $300 for a spare tire kit.

Junkyards don't offer solutions for such a new model car.

Wondering if other Hyundai/Kia models have a good fit for our car. Reminder - We have AWD, so the circumference must be the same as the original tires or we'll trash our tranny.

What solutions have you found?

Oh boy. The first thing I checked when the salesperson showed off the cargo area was the spare tire. A can of fix-a-flat won't fix every flat. Thankfully mine came with a donut. I'm one who prefers a full size spare BUT I'll take a donut over a can of that stuff any day. Just a thought...tire centers...and I am NOT talking about Walmart...I'm talking about places like say, Firestone...if they might be able to help. I found a Discount Tire here locally with a man that knows quite a bit about tires like ours.
