Hey all, got a 2022 hyundai Kona N line (called the rona kona, for a number of reasons) was wondering if the rear light housings can be replaced with the LED versions? I don’t like the look of the basic housings.
Attached are pics as I know people will ask
Sorta, is the short answer. The LED versions will fit, but you will get a bulb out warning on the dash. The body control module is different between halogen and LED equipped models. The easiest way to fix it, is to add resistors to the harness for the led tail lights, to make the body control module think its the correct resistance. You would need to measure the resistance value of your current halogen lamps, note it, then test the same when you install the LEDs. What ever the resistance difference, would tell you what resistors you need to add.
