I heard that they withdrew the last update. Not sure when it will be available for download again. Stay tuned....
Navigation Update - Kona N 2022
I know late October Hyundai updated its navigation system/maps. I downloaded the appropriate applications so I can update my Kona N navigation system/maps, and enter all the information for my Kona N. My software version is not the latest but the application states that I'm up to date even though the current software value available is completely different than what I'm seeing in my Kona N.
Has anyone successfully updated their Kona N navigation system/maps since 10/25 and if so, what did you do to update it.
My Kona N has the following software: OSNPE.USA.S5W_M.v001.001.210906
My software is from over a year ago and it definitely should be updated to what was recently released.

I actually got Hyundai to provide information on the Navigation update. The tech engineers noticed some issues with the update and removed it. The update will be re-released in late November to early December for the fall 2022 update.I heard that they withdrew the last update. Not sure when it will be available for download again. Apparently the maps were not fully complete and some of the areas had wrong speed limits. Along with other issues. They could of added back the update from April/May as the update I have is from last year. I thought my car navigation would of been updated given that I bought the car in June.I guess I'll have to flash it again. Ugh.
Allegedly the '23 model KN allows for OTA updates of the firmware. Would be nice.
'23 KN owner here. Yea, that's seems to be only major update between the years. I'm wondering how that exactly works with firmware rollbacks.... if it auto updates then auto rollbacks or something. If in doubt, just plan on using Android Auto.
Nav update is now availabe with the fixes.
I have seen others on Reddit state that the update did something great to to their maps etc... I see no difference with the update. Have others updated their maps/audio system without any change to the system? I found it interesting that others saw a difference and I didn't Maybe someone edited the map options prior to them buying their N model?

I bought mine 4/29 and updated the system right after that. Just a couple of days later, the newest update was dropped, so I got to do it again. System firmware and maps both on the first, maps only on the second. All is working well and haven't seen any issues with the maps or system in general.
Do you go to my Hyundai for this update? Also do you flash this why the car is running?
Yes, downloaded the update from myHyundai onto a 64GB thumb drive. The instructions said to either start the car or press the pushbutton with no brake applied, which turned the car "on", but without starting the engine. A couple of minutes into the update, a message came up on the screen stating the update would be completed with the vehicle turned off, which is what I did. The next time I started the car I checked the software version and it had updated to the latest shown on the update download utility on my computer.Do you go to my Hyundai for this update? Also do you flash this why the car is running?
