Yeah, I'm really thrilled to get even close to 30mpg, not to mention even better... after all, I've been getting 10-12mpg for 14 years in my Nissan Titan! I don't have lead foot, anyway...just drive the speed limit. It felt so weird to finally have to fill up the Kona today! I'm as happy as a clam!:smile_big:I thought the AWD would suffer a little because of the added weigh but that's respectable indeed.:grin:
Good on ya! Folks that trust the trip computer alone, are living in fantasy land. Don’t get me wrong, it’s usually fairly accurate in strictly highway driving. However, I have found it’s usually off by several mpg (on the + side). Terrain can really affect it. Just for fun, I filled up at a station is that is up hill from my home. When I got home, my trip computer says I got 90 mpg! Ha! Bottom line here, is that if you want to know the real mileage you have to compute it the old fashioned way. Enjoy all!I'm still on my first tank. I don't trust the computer MPG until I do some calculations when I fill up. I was a a little surprised today on a 30+ mile trip on a flat land and some tail wind. The trip was over 40mpg with AWD turbo.
on my 2015 gti s vw, i learned this last year that they programmed it to read mpg at 108 percent or so, so it was adjustable thru odb eleven to read correctly, so my 25 mpg in city was really aroung 20 mpgs,Good on ya!
