Modifing Grey Plastic Bands

Hello,
I'm new in the forum, I presented my self in the presentation section.
I'm interested in buying a Kona EV but I have some "exterior issues" that I would like to solve aftermarket.
I would like to paint or remove (if possibile) the plastic bands around the backlights and front lights.
(I post a picture to be more clear)
Do you think this is possible?
What is under the plastic? there is the metal body of the car ?

You could paint them but you couldn't just remove them and leave that space exposed as that piece that you have circled is molded into the lower part.

You could add chrome covers that you can find on eBay.

Other then vinyl wrapping, you could also plasti-dip or use a product similar too it, to see if its something you will like.

Thanks for your help guys!

I will decide wheather to order the car or not.. but for now the EV version here is still a "mistery" for the dealers.. and they will try to sell you the Diesel engined one instead..

Just and fyi so you’re aware; that’s not the rear of the EV model you’re trying to purchase. That’s a petrol version. It still has that plastic trim on the outside of the taillights but not the piece inside that separates brake/ turn signal/ reverse lights.
