Would anyone think they would want an LSD for their Kona EV?

This would be something for those that like to drive their Kona EV harder or track or autocross them. Stickier tires help but just don’t tame that massive torque it has.

I have been looking into it and have gotten a vendor that would do it contingent on me providing the open diff for prototyping the LSD and I would need to secure at least 25 orders. The cost would be between $1200 and $1600 USD with a final price being given once they have completed the prototype.

Anyone find this piques their interest?

Absolutely…think of the Civic Si, Juke Nismo RS, Neon SRT4, etc…keeps the inside wheel from spinning out of control and maintains traction. The Kona EV has 205HP/291TQ…could use a limited slip. 235/45-18 or 245/45-18 go a long way to helping the Kona handle better and get better grip…but…the LSD would step it up a notch.

Limited slip differential. Provides better traction by reducing wheelspin with the use of clutches and other methods. It's mechanical, not electronic like traction control.
