Hi all, New user from Liverpool. I have just taken delivery of a 2022 Kona EV Premium trim from Motability . This is my first EV car and I am very impressed. This is the 64kWh version and is very pokey. My previous car was a Seat Leon ST FR 190hp TSI and was very sorry to let it go. It had been the best vehicle I had owned and would highly recommend to anyone who wanted a petrol burner. I have just about got to grips with everything except some of the voice commands but have only had it for 5 days. I am lucky to have many free charging options close to me but have mainly used Tesco. I am getting my home charger installed next week as I went with the free BP Pulse membership as I do not plan on charging much at home. I am interested in fitting my cheapish dash cam that only uses a usb/12v connection as I dont want to mess around hard wiring one in, dont think Motability would approve. I have just found out that I can keep my keys in my pocket to lock the car by pressing the button on the door when walking away :) Loving the adaptive cruise control and have been using the vehicle with stage 3 brake regeneration 100% of the time as I like the one peddle driving.
Would love to hear any of your tips to make my ownership an even better experience. ven after 5 days of EV driving I will never go back to petrol/diesel.
