If you go to the Dealer

Please make sure they create a ticket. I am doing the BBB Autoline with Hyundai on my 24 Kona Limited that has had issues to say the least and finally accumulated enough time at the dealers waiting on a repair that it hit the over 30 days out of service in the first two years of ownership. Hyundai has told me they will buy the vehicle back and that issues started at 11,000 miles. In Mn they can deduct up to ten cents a mile starting at 11,000 so I would loose $1,100 off the purchase price. But I am asking for a replacement vehicle as stated by the lemon law here in my state.

One of the big problems I have had and still do is with Bluelink and the problems started at 6,000 miles when everything went south and I took it to the dealership. At that time I have 6 codes that Service writer just plugged in a dongle and cleared. yet they did not go away and thankfully I have numerous emails documenting the problem and the service writer saying bring it in and we can try clearing the codes again.

Sadly he never started a repair order for any of the three times he did this and I did not ask as I was acting in good faith. Sadly Hyundai refuse to acknowledge that my car had been in as there is no official documentation. So a heads up to all make sure you get a paper copy for every little thing so if you end up with a Friday afternoon or Monday morning vehicle you have covered your rear!
