Hyundai Kona Features/Tech

This video is pretty cool albeit not in English but you can get the jist of it. Some key things are a popup HUD, wireless charging pad in the front console, auto-dimming lights, LED headlights.

What features stood out to you from the video?

The video seems to be missing now, but from what you've listed I'm definitely most interested in the HUD feature. I've never owned anything with such a system and it seems like a great way to display the navigation map instead of needing to look down and to the right.
I haven't owned a vehicle with it either but it sure does look cool. Hopefully I don't get too distracted with it haha. Makes things much more convenient and once it has the map, directions, and speed, that's all you essentially need.
You guys should test drive something with an HUD system. Genesis sedans had them for at least the past few years. Just 15-20 minutes driving with an HUD in typical city/highway situations you will see how much it helps.

My first experience was in a BMW 760li, impressed is an understatement.
Depending on how much it costs, the first time I test out a HUD could be in the Kona. It works with google maps correct?

As long as it has Google Play then there should be some integration of the mapping system, to what extent that's like compared to the PC version... I don't know, but should be good enough, its hard to find someone that complains about it.
Oddly enough, I can't find any recent HUD videos from Hyundai's other models. Guess we'll have to wait until the Kona goes on sale before seeing the system in action.
Blue Link had it for a few years now so you might just have to either look really deep into information and videos out on Blue Link or see some for yourself in person.
I remember that too and while not the greatest example out there this does show some of the Google interaction you can have:

I think the actual destination selection should be displayed in the center infotainment screen and the map thrown onto the windshield using the HUD system.

Anyone manage to find another copy of this video?
Wow that sucks, didn't realize it got taken down till now.

Lucky for us there a lot of shows coming up so odds are once some major automotive event happens then Hyundai will allow videos like that to be up. Dealers might have it and maybe more.
Guess Hyundai is still trying to keep things under wraps until the Kona has debuted globally. Or else a video wont be taken down for no reason. The popup HUD in action would have been nice to see.
Maybe by the time LA auto show rolls around all this information will be public and they wont have an issue with anyone sharing it. Often at that point car makers don't care too much. Honda I know is very lax in what they let people do with content.
Rumor has it, Hyundai will reveal an all-electric Kona at the Geneva motor show next March. Exciting times with how advanced those EVs are becoming.
If true then I hope from the start they engineered this to have an EV powertrain because that would mean we'll get a real winner of an EV, rather than something that was made more like an after thought. Most car makers that have success do well with a product built from the start with a specific purpose.
