Hyundai Kona Assembly Line Halted

AutoBlog says production at the Hyundai Kona plant has halted because the automaker's labor union is on strike. A bad time for something like this to happen with the Kona's U.S. debut approaching. No idea who is right in the argument, but I hope they solve it soon because even stopping production for two days means around 1,230 vehicles aren't built.

Hmmm... not the best timing. I hope Hyundai will figure something out, but they need to hurry up cause Kona was planned to arrive in dealerships between January and March next year.
I bet the dealers already have some Kona's sitting on lots ready to be sold along with demo's so anyone who really wants one will just have to wait a bit more. I don't know about you guys but the Kona is a refreshing option to have compared to what else is out there.
If that's true and dealers have at least a few models of Kona on their lots it won't hurt as much. But I bet that customers will buy up all of them in the very first days on sale, so Hyundai will need to put some efforts to fill them up again as fast as possible.
I doubt there are models sitting on dealership lots, but demos may be wandering around for all we know or some may already be in transit. But if there is a limited amount, then some dealerships will have priority over others.

Demo's are probably what they rather get rid of ASAP because after a certain amount of mileage they lose quite a bit of value. Used to work in a dealership and seen all the demos they went through. So just like models sitting on dealer lots, demo's should be gone as well.
