Got my 2.0L Kona April 2018. Didn’t want the added hassles of a Turbo engine. My only preference was AWD.
It now has 6k miles and I’ve changed a few things to get it to gIve a little more power.

Using 87 octane, when you try pushing it
along, it immediately drops down a few gears, and revs to 4K. I’ve never had a car in the rev range under normal driving.

So , I changed to 94 octane (Super unleaded) and now the Kona uses its torque a lot more.

Next change was a K&N Filter (33-5050), which initially took my avg mpg from 29 down to 20 mpg. After 3 full tanks of ‘Super’
I’m now back to 29 mpg, so the ECU has adjusted itself.

It’s now a little bit of a go-kart, and I’m looking at putting in some hi-flow ‘cats’ to see if I can get it a little quicker!
