Hi there,
I’ve had my 2020 Kona EV Ultimate for a few weeks now. I’m still trying to learn all the features through usage and reading the manuals. In the Kona Electric car infotainment quick reference guide (which ironically is about 1/2” thick bound book), it mentions several options with a “if equipped” disclaimer. Since the Ultimate is the top of the line trim level and there are essentially no options available, I’m confused as to why my Kona doesn’t seem to have these features. Doesn’t seem to make sense. Maybe I’m just not clear on how to access them.
Each region (USA, Europe, South Korea, Australia, etc) will browse the list of possible options and select those that will appeal, in their minds, to their client population. To my knowledge no region would put all options in a model because it would cost too much. But the manual will still list all available options - guess it’s too hard/costly to tailor the manuals. It’s not unique to Hyundai. I owned Citroens for many years, including a top-of-the-range, and a large proportion of the user manual dealt with features I didn’t have.

[edit: Plus some options are mutually exclusive like heated rear view mirrors and digital (camera) rear view systems.]
