Saw Something really weird when doing my front brakes. 2019 Kona SEL 2.0

did the drivers side first, no problem.

on the passenger side, after the new rotor was bolted on, I started to install the caliper bracket.

I noticed that both the caliper bracket and the steering knuckle were both threaded.
I have never in my life seen a situation where you bolt two parts together and both parts have threaded holes.

did I just get a oddball steering knuckle that was threaded by mistake or has anyone else seen this,

I went to the local dealer and asked the parts manager if I could see a passenger side steering knuckle but they didn’t have one in stock.

I’m saying that on the drivers side only the caliper bracket was threaded.
On the passenger side both the Caliper bracket and the steering knuckle were threaded. I’ve just never seen when you are bolting two pieces of metal together that both pieces are threaded.

I know, I read that. I agree they both shouldn't be threaded. You wanted to look at a knuckle, they didn't have one, watching him insert and thread the bolts in the video is the next best thing, I think it confirms you got an oddball. Really seems impossible that would happen but you have it in front of you.
