Can anyone yell me how to get to this manual key when all power is lost? I need to press the re-charge button but can't do this as the doors are locked.
I've tried to prise the cover off but it may damage the paintwork when using a screwdriver.

When you pull out on the door handle, there is a little slot in the key cover. Push the emergency key in to the slot. The aim is to press in on the button in the red circle, pull the emergency key towards you, to pop off the mechanical key cover.

I had to get to the mechanical keyhole to be able to open the hood to boost the dead 12 volt battery. Good idea to tape it or something to hold it. I didn't expect it to go flying off.
My key fob battery was still good. If my key fob battery was dead, I'd use the Bluelink app to open the door. Then, To start the engine, press the Engine Start/Stop button directly with the smart key until I could replace the smart key battery.
Or, without Bluelink,
If the smart key does not work correctly, open the door with the mechanical key. To start the engine, press
the Engine Start/Stop button directly with the smart key.

I'm puzzled, and have never heard of getting in through the back door without a key. Can anybody do this, or only if you have the key fob near by.
When you say "re-set button" on the dash, do you mean the same button to start the car?
If you're refer to a dead car battery, what is getting restored? ... Sorry for all this confusion...

Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone can help me out. I’m trying to figure out how to access the manual key when the power is completely gone. I need to press the re-charge button, but the doors are locked and I can’t get inside. Is there a safe way to open the cover without damaging the paint? I’m worried using a screwdriver might scratch it. Any advice would be really appreciated

If you have the key on your person but the car is closed down - doors won't open etc - you can press the tailgate and that will open all the doors. The main battery has the micro amps to allow access. The battery re-set button is on the right of the steering wheel near the handbrake button. If you press that button the main battery feeds the tiny battery that will allow the car to open. Go to a gaqrage for more info
