Strange, downside the maf is behind the PCV vent, so expect problems as oil covers the maf.

Had it professionally done and gone 2000 plus miles so far and smooth sailing with no issues!

It takes a while but soon it will be covered in oil. Common issue when people put the maf after the pcv vent line. Other down side will be nothing really better than the oe intake, since it has to restrict so much.
Sure glad you don’t appear to know what you’re talking about! I’ll stick with the professionals but thanks for your opinion!

The air intake will only flow as much as the most restricted part.

I installed the same CAI last week. 1/2 installation. I track mileage carefully and am getting 2-3 mpg more. Not sure about the + torque as I really don’t tromp on it. I’m very satisfied.
