Hey folks, I just picked up 2018 Kona Ultimate a few weeks ago (7 weeks approx.). Had 14,000 km on it when I picked it up. Everything was working fine until a few days ago when the transmission started acting up. It doesn’t want to shift out of 3rd gear regardless of speed or engine rpm’s, weird thing is it only happens intermittently. Took it back to dealership and they were unable to replicate the problem, but they did a clutch valve reset just in case. The problem is still there. Anyone have any ideas about this? I’d appreciate hearing from you. Thanks.

The DC transmission is notorious for being temperamental. Dealers often reset the transmission and send you away because they cannot diagnose the problem. Take it back and have a technician drive with you if necessary. Or change dealers.

does anyone know how to reset the tranny? and clutch valve reset? or do i have to take it to the dealer?
