This worked great on other car forums to help people around the country to get an idea what kind of deals folks are getting/paying.

Please just tell us the following:

State:
Trim:
Options:
MSRP:
Price: {include Destination Charge}
Also say if you got a Military, College or some other discount.

No need to list the taxes, dealer fees, title, plates etc. as every state is different.

Thanks!

Buying tomorrow.....

Wow, that's a good price! :surprise:
Virtually the exact same vehicle I'm looking for this weekend. That's about 2.5k lower than I've gotten offers for so far (though I've only contacted them online to this point).

What part of the country?
Any advice?
I'm paying cash for about half and have my own financing for the rest. Does paying cash give you any leverage? Basically, I'm just handing them a check from my bank, so I wouldn't think it would matter much to the dealer...

State: GA
Trim: Limited AWD Lime Twist
Options: Floor mats
MSRP: 26,980
Paid: 25,000 (27200 incl. all fees and taxes)

We put 10,000 down and used 3rd party financing because the rate we got through our credit union was good enough that the $500 rebate was more than the difference in total interest paid on the loan. Couldn't be happier! So much car for the money.

Ball park, list $25,600 , they had July discounts that were about $2500, no GI or college or could have been $7,000 off. Down to $23, 400 and hammered with NJ sales tax of $1500 and another $399 for registration and title change 4 years. Ended up total as almost sticker price LOL. Kona SEL with package $1500 2.0 Thunder Gray. Probably could have gotten $2k off any day of the year off list. 8-10 % off list is a fair deal . Beware of sales prices, some car dealers go and raise the sticker prices a week before a sale in the past, other brand autos.

Wheat didn't you get the available discounts from Hyundai? I don't know where you are located, so it may have something to do with it.

Yeah, I got the $500 cash back, and I could have gotten the 1.9% financing instead, but we got such good 3rd party financing that the $500 was a better deal. Only other available discounts were for uber, college, or military, for which we don't qualify. Another reason I had a tough time is cause the lime twist awd limited was so rare I couldn't get local dealerships to compete on price. Had to deal out of state. But $27,200 OTD was by far the best we got, and I don't feel bad about getting that on a car with an MSRP of $27,100. I think the listed sale price was $25,000 even. Taxes at my location are 8%

I understand, great interest rate by the way. You did your best and by all means $27,200.00 OTD is a darn good price. Congratulations and thanks for sharing your experience.
